Grade B: When subjected to a "12kV" contact discharge or "16kV" air discharge test on the bare screen, the display may exhibit random patterns or go blank. The display typically recovers automatically after the electrostatic discharge is released.
Grade C: When subjected to a "10kV" contact discharge or "15kV" air discharge test on the bare screen, the display may show random patterns or go blank during testing, requiring a power cycle to restore normal function.
The high ESD resistance rating of LCD products is achieved through design, material selection, and process methods, resulting in a relatively higher production cost. The other performance characteristics of high-grade anti-static LCDs are identical to those of standard LCD screens, and they can reliably pass rigorous environmental testing.
